NSAID Injection

Diabetics should consider intra-articular or trigger finger NSAID injections as they have as good short term pain relief and do not have the harmful effects of hyperglycemia when compared to corticosteroid injections.

Another interesting take away from the paper was that the patients who received the NSAID injections had longer lasting pain relief compared to those who received corticosteroid injections. We also do not have know if NSAIDs have the chondrotoxic effects corticosteroids do.
